The goal of my research is to design multi-sensory interfaces, allowing interaction with simulated or remotely located environments. More specifically, my work focuses on designing more effective haptic interfaces, i.e. systems comprising of software and hardware components that work with the sense of touch, and integrating them with simulated environments as well as graphics and auditory displays. My research interests span haptic rendering algorithms, control of haptic interaction, simulation, robotics, HCI, haptic device design, control theory, and virtual reality. I 'm interested in applying haptic interfaces to medicine, art, media.
