CS523 Syllabus
(Revised January 30, 1996)
This syllabus is set-up so that the readings listed for a given day are
the readings that will be discussed that day, so it is important to
complete them prior to that date. Students will select
readings that they will present to the rest of the class along with a
short (1-2 page) written synopsis, so that everyone will have a study
reference for the qualifying exam. Also, the readings given for the
last three weeks of the quarter are a little lighter to accomodate
days when faculty will come in to give their views of AI, their
expectations for the qualifying exam, graduate research, etc.
