I am looking for graduate and undergraduate students to work with me on an exciting research project in robotics. This project is a collaborative effort with Profs. Leslie Kaelbling and Tomas Lozano-Perez of MIT. Students who are interested should have strong background in algorithms, some exposure to AI, and good programming skills. My research interests cover robotics, computational biology, and geometric computation. More information is available on the web site of my research group, M²AP.
I received Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University, under the supervision of Jean-Claude Latombe, and was a member of the Robotics Laboratory. After leaving Stanford, I worked as a research scientist at Compaq Computer Corp.'s Cambridge Research Lab and then as a research associate at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At National University of Singapore, I held the Sunk Kah Kay Assistant Professorship and was a Faculty Fellow of the Singapore-MIT Alliance.
