After visiting the base camp of Lenin Peak, I crossed the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan at the village of Karamyk. I then stopped for one night in the small town of Dzhergatol (Tajikistan). There, I was lucky; the pilot of a helicopter chartered to rescue a group of climbers from Peak Communism offered me to fly me to Dushanbe for free.
