I made four trips to Nepal. In November 1979, I did the Khumbu trek to Kala Pattar. In March/April 1994, I went to the base camps of Kangchenjunga; I also went on a shorter hike near Annapurna. In October/November 1996, I climbed Lobuche and Amadablam with Kathy Cosley and Mark Houston. In April/May 2001, I attempted to climb Makalu with an expedition led by Guy Cotter.
