 The WEBKDD 2000 Workshop, with the theme "Web Mining for E-Commerce" was extremely successful.  We are very happy to announce that the Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery journal, the leading journal in the KDD field, has agreed to publish a special issue devoted to the best ideas presented at the WEBKDD 2000 workshop.

--------------- Submission Requirements ---------------

Authors are encouraged to submit high quality, original work that neither has appeared in, nor is under consideration by, other journals. Submissions should be in 12pt font, 1.5 line-spacing, and should not exceed 28 pages.  Shorter submissions, including technical notes also are solicited.

Electronic submissions are required; postscript or Acrobat PDF will be accepted.

To submit your paper, please send an e-mail to webkdd@CS.Stanford.EDU with a link to your paper or with the paper attached.
If you paper is large, you should provide us with a link as some e-mail readers refuse large e-mails.
You do not have to submit hardcopies to Kluwer.

--------------- Review Process ---------------

The papers submitted to the workshop went through a first review.   The journal versions will go through a fresh round of reviews.  A key criterion of evaluation will be the maturity of the ideas and detailed evaluation of the results. Please make sure to include sufficient evidence of the maturity of the work in the submission.
