I am interested in the applications of computer science to molecular biology. My current research focuses on studying the sequence variation, molecular function and evolution of cancer genomes, developing algorithms for leveraging read cloud sequencing technologies, studying human microbiomes through metagenomics, and topics in population genomics such as population sequencing and genotyping, ancestry inference and identity-by-descent. A new interest in our lab is application of deep learning to single cell sequencing and to cancer genomics.
