                Hiroshima, Japan, September 29-30, 1997

IWPIA'97 is the fifth in the series of workshops dedicated to parallel 
image analysis.  Previous meetings took place in Paris (1991), Ube (1992), 
Washington DC (1994), and Lyon (1995).  IWPIA'97 will be held on September 
29-30, 1997, in Hiroshima (the workshop site will be specified later). 
It will consist of invited and contributed papers on theories, algorithms, 
architectures, and applications in the field of parallel image analysis.

  image processing systems based on parallel architecture 

Authors should send four copies of complete manuscripts of their 
papers to the program chair

International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence.
