The Conference continues in the spirit of the earlier conferences in the series that have been held in Baton Rouge and Boca Raton. For the Twenty-Seventh Conference, the invited lecturers are Professor Paul Erdos of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Professor Laszlo Lovasz of Yale University, Dr. Paul Seymour of Bell Communications Research, Professor Richard Stanley of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Professor Dominic Welsh of Oxford University. There will be sessions for fifteen-minute contributed papers throughout the Conference. In order to facilitate scheduling of talks, we are asking that the title and an abstract of papers be available to us by January 26, 1995. The abstract will be reproduced in the conference program. We would prefer abstracts to be submitted electronically in TeX (to conf_se@math.LSU.edu). Abstracts should be at most 300 words including the title of the paper on the first line and the author's name and institution on the second line. Abstracts that are typewritten should be single-spaced. There may be a charge for abstracts that must be retyped for reproduction. Papers presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in special issues of the refereed journal, Congressus Numerantium. Complete texts must be submitted by May 3, 1996. There will be a mixer on Sunday evening in Pleasant Hall, the Conference site on the LSU campus. There will be a wine and cheese party on Monday evening. Sessions on Tuesday, Mardi Gras, will end shortly after noon, and there will be a bus trip to view some of the parades in New Orleans. The Conference banquet will be held on Wednesday evening. Complete registration information will appear in a later announcement, which will be sent to everyone receiving this announcement. Accommodation.
